Lebanese musician, producer, and sound engineer Joy Moughanni tours his first solo album in 2026, “A Separation From Habit,” an introspective exploration of cyclical trauma that transcends the narrative of post-war identity. This collection of electronic performances and sonic collages draws from archival recordings made on tape by the late Georges Tarazi between 1975 and 1985. Through these fragments Moughanni confronts themes of occupation and the ongoing crises that have shaped the Lebanese experience since the first Israeli invasion in 1978, carrying through to the contemporary realities of October 2024, during which the album was created. 

"A Separation From Habit" invites listeners into both Moughanni’s personal emotional landscape and into the essence of life in a country in constant upheaval—where grief and loss are often overshadowed by the urgency to move forward.

Sold exclusively on Bandcamp, along with LAND 01, with the first volume published in January 2025 during the last war and displacement crisis.

LAND 02 + LAND 03 are two compilations by Tunefork Studios & Beirut Synth Center to help raise funds for those displaced by Israeli attacks on Lebanon.

100% of sales will be given to Beit Aam, who are providing basic needs to the displaced in shelters and other local grassroots initiatives in Beirut and the South.

The albums feature unreleased music by artists from/in Lebanon and around the world who are part of the wider community of Tunefork Studios and Beirut Synth Center.
